Work
Selected projects.
A cross-section of our practice, from identity systems for cultural institutions to wayfinding for public spaces. Client names are withheld under confidentiality agreements; the work speaks for itself.
Identity for a California cultural archive
A statewide archive needed an identity that could function on digital platforms and physical ephemera without losing authority. We built a wordmark with a variable weight axis and a color system drawn from the archive's own photograph collection.
Editorial system for a food publication
A quarterly print magazine about California foodways needed a grid flexible enough for photo essays and rigorous enough for data visualization. We designed a twelve-column system with three typefaces and a custom illustration library.
Wayfinding for a public market
A historic market hall in downtown Santa Ana required signage that respected the 1930s architecture while serving a modern audience. We used a sans-serif typeface inspired by the building's original painted signs and a color palette sampled from the tile work.
Digital publication for a research institute
A policy institute wanted to move from PDF reports to web-native publications. We built a design system with reading modes, citation tools, and data visualization components that their editors can use without touching code.
Mural program for a corporate campus
A technology company commissioned a series of murals for their Irvine campus. We curated three Santa Ana artists, developed the thematic framework, and managed fabrication to ensure the work integrated with the landscape architecture.
